My very dear Feigale, תח'
I have not yet responded to your dear card, for I had absolutely no composure for writing since Sara תחי' left until I received, with G-d’s help, a letter from her saying that she had arrived safely. I was also very happy with your addition to the letter. Our situation is still as it was. One hopes for some bit of help, but (may you be spared this), nothing happens. I hope that Grosspapa שליט"א will soon get his [travel] certificate. As for us, there are no prospects at the moment. Aunt Gusti ת' is truly making great efforts there, let’s hope for the best. Please write to me how Sara is getting on there. Can she stay there? Is [she working for] a ladies’ tailor? Where will she sleep there?
I kiss you with all my heart,
Your Mama.
I greet and kiss you, my dear sister-in-law and I thank you most warmly for your efforts in picking up Sara ת', as well as for what you added to the letter. May G-d grant that we be able to help each other only in happy circumstances. Kiss dear Gitale תחי' with her dear daughter תחי'. Best greetings to all the beloved ones. Dudie נ"י greets everyone.

As for Shochet, I don’t want anyone to write to him!
