My dear child, עמ"ש,

You have not done the right thing in letting Feigi ת' do the writing and thereby considering yourself excused from sending letters. We expect at least one communication from each child once a week. If you think you have nothing to write, it is only – don’t be upset with me – because you do not write so well. There is much that would interest us that you haven’t written to us.

I am now sending Uncle Berl נ"י the papers. See to it that everything should go quickly.

We have obtained ב"ה an extension of residence.

The certificate is not here yet and we do not know whether it will still arrive because it is taking so long. Please write to me how the matter stands.
