Many thanks for your dear letter. I have sent back the 2 pounds to Feigi ת'. Today I received from Mariemcze 2 pounds which Feigi ת' had sent her. She was unable to send me anything since the post in foreign countries does not accept such things. She put the original in the envelope, which is much more sensible than [sending] dinar. Schmilu נ"י sent me 5 international postal certificates together with a very kind letter. He is already traveling to Eretz. I don’t need them here but it is nevertheless very nice of him.
Mrs. Gottesman has done me an unrequested טובה in writing to her son that he should speak to Uncle Piniu נ"י on my behalf. Now she writes that Uncle Piniu נ"י has sent 2 pounds for me. I feel very upset about this. They will think over there that I had requested this of her. I absolutely don’t need any money here and had I needed anything from him I could have written myself! But there is nothing more that I can do.
My dear child, you seem not to have understood my earlier card saying that I feel very desolate and bitter. We have lost very much and are unable to change it. Be strong.

Mein suesses geliebtes Surale [??] Fuer Deinen l. Brief besten Dank.. Die 2 Pf habe der Feigi zurueckgeschickt. Heute habe bekommen von Mariemize 2 Pf welche Feigi ihr geschickt hat. Sie konnte mir nichts schicken weil die Post im Ausland nicht solche Sachen aufnimt. Sie hat es Orginal im Couvert geschickt, ist viel gescheiter wie Dinar. Schmilo hat mir 5 international Postscheine dazu geschickt mit einem sehr lieben Brief er fahrt schon nach Erez. Ich brauche sie hier nicht aber von ihm ist es doch sehr nett. Die Frau Gottesman hat mir eine ungebetene TOVA getan zu schreiben ihr Sohn soll mit Onkel Piniu reden fuer mich. Jetzt schreibt sie Onkel Piniu hat fuer mich 2 Pf geschickt. Ich kraenke mich sehr darueber. Sie werden dort glauben ich habe sie darum gebeten. Ich brauche hier absolute kein Geld. Und wenn ich von ihm etwas gebraucht haette koente ich selbst schreiben Ich kan aber nichts mehr tun
Mein geliebtes KINDLEb, Du scheinst meine fruehere Karte nicht verstanden zu haben dass mir sehr wuest und bitter ist. Wir haben sehr viel verloren und koennen es nicht aendern sei stark es umarmt und kuessed dich deine Mama.
