I thank you my sweet for the birthday wishes, and wish myself that next year I will celebrate my birthday together with you my precious children.

At the moment we are in this small town. There is now very intense talk of continuing our journey. I can’t imagine how this is possible in the present circumstances. The object that is meant to convey us further is indeed already here. It was bought especially for us. It is located on the other side of the Danube in Romania. This is how it is here: Yugoslavia is on one side and if one looks across one sees the Romanian city of Turn Severin.  Here too one experiences פחד .     

Zwi is tall and slender. He looks very good and has a good colour.

I weigh 60 Kilo. Now that I am moving around more, I won’t gain weight. Aboard the ship we did nothing but sit.  Do you receive post from א"י ?  How is dear Grossvater? No one has yet written a single syllable to me. Please, you can already write some English to me.  Unfortunately we had to interrupt our lessons, because the teacher has remained on the ship (in fact more than 500 people still remain there).

I’ve already received post from you twice, and from Feigi ת' nothing. She should answer all my letters.

I kiss you, as well as Tuli and Feigi שיחי', also Aunt ת' and the children שיחי'.
