Sabac               2 December 1940       ב"ה

My very dear ones עמ"ש!

I am informing you that, may it be with מזל , we resume our journey tomorrow. May the Almighty grant us the זכי' to see you soon. Please inquire when you hear that we have arrived and pick us up.

Dearest beloved Beilcze please notify dear Uncle שליט"א and the relatives with whom you get together. I can hardly wait to be in the company of relatives, after so much suffering among nothing but strange faces.

Pray to השי"ת that we may arrive safely without מכשל . I am also now writing to my sister-in-law.

Regards and kisses to you and the dear children, they should live. Regards to your dear husband שליט"א.

Chajcie

Regards from my Zwi נ"י.

--------------------------------------

        Mazel – good fortune.

        Zechiyoh - privilege.

Chaye’s niece, the daughter of her brother Reb Yechiel Zvi of Husakov and the only one of his children (and indeed of all the children of Chaye’s brothers and sister) to survive the war. She was married to Moshe Rapaport.

This almost certainly refers to Rav Pinchos Liebermann, Chaye’s mother’s brother, who lived in Tel Aviv and to whom she wrote a card on 2 May 1940, printed earlier in this book.

Hashem Yisborach – G-d, may He be blessed.

        Michshol – pitfall.
