LETTERS

25 January 1943

Dear Herschi עמ"ש!

מזל טוב: It is a girl.  She was born on the 12th of January.  Everything went of fine.  Sara and the baby (they are going to call her RUTH) came home from the hospital yesterday.  I am going to stay with her for a few weeks now to help her as much as I can, until she is strong enough to carry on by herself.

You asked us our opinion on what you intend to do, and about living in a Kibbutz.  Not knowing the circumstances so well, I think we better leave it all to your own decision.  It is difficult to tell from so far a distance.  You know best, I’m sure.  I allways tell the others to write to you.  I gave Yisrolek your regards, in fact I showed him your last letter.  He wishes to be remembered to you.

We continue to write to our dear mother, but unfortunately we have not got a reply yet.  It is now over a year.  I don’t know what to think anymore.  השי"ת 0 should help, that’s all I’m hoping for.  That war should take see end soon, and we should all be able to be together.  Did you receive the registered letter I send you last month?  Please answer as soon as you can, and let me know all there is to know about you.  I am looking forward to see your photo.  I hope it arrives soon.  I must finish now.  Remember me to our relatives, if you see them, or write to them (do you ever?).  Please write again soon.

So long, look after yourself, keep well.

Yours sincerely, sister

Fay
